This article is part of a series focused on our value work, through which we are introducing the shared values of the ACG to Division Fidelix. During the spring, summer, and autumn, we will explore these values more deeply through culture workshops, focusing on how values are reflected in our daily work and everyday actions.
We lead.
In this article, the division’s legal counsel Simon Mittler shares how he sees that the value “we lead” is reflected in our work – through responsibility, collaboration, and continuous development.
At Fidelix, leadership is not just the responsibility of managers – it’s a way of working that is visible in everyone’s daily actions. Simon joined Fidelix at the beginning of 2025 and, even within the first few months, has seen how strongly shared values guide the way things are done.
In his new role, Simon has worked closely with various business areas within the division, particularly in Sweden and Finland. The collaboration has been open and smooth – progress is made through dialogue and active listening. Although legal work is often independent, Simon has never felt alone. Support, insights, and appreciation have been available from the very beginning.
The division’s different business areas are united by a strong culture of ownership. Everyone takes responsibility and handles their tasks – while also having the courage to raise challenges. This creates a foundation for development, which is evident in the use of technology, the clarification of ways of working, and the strengthening of collaboration.
According to Simon, everyday work is goal-oriented and constantly offers opportunities to learn. The new industry requires broad thinking and a pragmatic approach from a legal professional – there aren’t always ready-made answers, but solutions are found together with the business. He has been encouraged to share his ideas and contribute to development. The combination of freedom and responsibility has enabled rapid growth and continuous learning.
Fidelix’s employer promise, “we like getting things done,” is realized in Simon’s experience through purposeful action, open dialogue, and a constant focus on the next step. When freedom and responsibility are in balance, the result is productive and meaningful work.
